Freccia
Azzurra is currently located in Chioggia
(Venice), at the Cimolin Shipyard.
Here in the
lagoon of Chioggia we will also carry out the first on board activities, once
the restoration will be completed, starting from summer 2023.
For safety
reasons, access to the shipyard is not permitted during the restoration
activity. If you still want to peek inside the shipyard and discover the
secrets of an old wooden boat, choose the 'NELLA
PANCIA DELLA BALENA | IN THE WHALE’S BELLY' reward: our volunteers will
take you on a virtual tour on board during a dedicated video-call, and will answer
all your questions about Freccia Azzurra and the project!

We like to
think about the moment of their delivery as an opportunity to meet in person, get to know each other, and celebrate
the results achieved together. You can collect your reward during one of our
upcoming events, or we can organize a hand delivery in the provinces of Padua,
Venice and surrounding areas. If this is not possible and you prefer to receive
your reward at home, the shipment (exclusively in Italy) will be by courier at
a cost of € 7.25. For shipments outside Italy, the price will depend on the

For this crowdfunding
campaign, Batipai has activated a
dedicated bank account, which is separated from our main current one.
Donations collected during the campaign will be raised here. In this way we
will be able to reporting on them in a simpler and more transparent way. Donors
will receive periodic updates on the progress of the restoration of Freccia
Azzurra thanks to their contributions, and on our activities.
€ 15,000 is
the minimum amount we need to raise
to be sure of being able to purchase all the materials needed for the restoration.
This first step is essential in order to proceed with the subsequent work. If
we fail to reach this goal by the end of the campaign, the amount collected up
to that moment be returned to donors.
This
eventuality would seriously endanger the survival of our project and of Freccia
Azzurra itself.
Furthermore,
if you help us to achieve this goal, the
Italian bank CiviBank will increase the value of your donation by supporting us

You will
support the project, we will thank you by organizing a tour to discover the Venetian
lagoon and its hidden wonders, starting from Chioggia (Venice) aboard a
traditional rowing boat. The exploration will last about 2 hours 30’ and there
will be up to a maximum of 3 people on board in addition to you.

You’ll get
what is described in the previous reward, but for two! On board there will be you
and your companion, plus a maximum of 2 other people.

inviting you on board Freccia Azzurra for the inaugural event that we will
organize this summer in Chioggia (Venice): a truly special concert on the
water, which you can enjoy while the sun slowly sets over the Venetian lagoon.

You will
support the project by helping us install Freccia Azzurra’s rudder wheel, we
will thank you by placing a plaque on it with your name, the name of the person

help in guiding Freccia Azzurra out of the port, on its long journey!

FOR A DAY
The carat
is not only the unit of measure for the purity of gold, but it indicates also
each of the parts into which the ownership of a merchant ship is traditionally
divided. You will support the project with a contribution as precious as gold,
we will thank you by making you the owner of Freccia Azzurra for a day, i.e. by
putting the boat at your (or your business/company) disposal (for 10 people max.)
for a day in Chioggia, Venice.

Batipai è un’Associazione Culturale fondata a Venezia nel gennaio 2018 da un gruppo di giovani uniti dal desiderio di far rivivere e valorizzare il rapporto sinergico tra uomo e acqua che da sempre ha caratterizzato il territorio della gronda lagunare veneta, il fitto sistema di fiumi e canali che connettono la laguna all'entroterra. Un territorio anfibio unico al mondo, reso al giorno d'oggi fragile da uno sviluppo insensibile, dalla scarsa manutenzione e dai cambiamenti climatici. Noi proviamo insieme ad invertire la rotta attraverso il recupero della Freccia Azzurra, l'ultimo burcio navigante, con l'obiettivo di trasformare questa grande e antica imbarcazione fluviale in sede fissa e itinerante di eventi, un luogo capace di rigenerare e diffondere cultura, amore per il territorio, nuove opportunità.
